Indrani-Haldar She has done both mainstream Bengali movies pairing with Prosenjit or Tapas Pal in her early career. She has become more selective about her role over the years and moved into TV serial also. For long, she has been the favorite among the parallel film makers.

She own BFJA Best Actress award in 1993 for the film “Kaancher Prithibi”. Two years later she worked in a Buddhadev Dadgupta’s film “Charachar”. Her role in the Bengali movie Charachar was short but important enough to fetch the second BFJA award for Best Actress in 1995.

She also own “Patton Kalakar Award” for roles in Kuasha Jakhan in 1997.
